Here is the basic things that you must do if you seriously want to get into universities in the USA.
1. You must hone up your reading and writing skill from a very early age. It is however never too late to begin.
2. Start early: You must grow your interest early. As if you applying for MS you need to answer a "Why" question. For example " Why are you specifically interested in this particular university and this course.
3. You have to have a strong extra-curricular participation and accomplishments if you want to get good financial aid or get accepted at the best universities. Yes! Unlike in India you marks matters just so much. They want impressive human being not impressive statistics
4. Develop your strengths and build them up!
5. The most important: Believe in yourself! Most people who have failed to get an acceptance was that they lacked self confidence.. their application showed pointed at their poor self esteem..
